 Networking:

On Thursday the 27th of January 2022, I attended a virtual Networking experience named "The ITV Masterclass". This experience was with 'Working Options In Education", a charity founded in 2010 which aims to aid young people with employment and life skills. They specialise in helping those between ages 14 and 19 and have inspired more than 20,000 young people using their employability and life skills programme. They also have a Career Pathways programme which is delivered free in state schools, colleges and online by industry volunteers. From this experience, I have learned that the media industry is extremely large and contains a wide range of different professions and career opportunities such as various types of apprenticeships.

Mock Interviews are very important as they act as experience and help you to develop the skills that you require for real interviews. Research into the Film Industry: When looking at employment opportunities in media, I researched the film industry as this is the sector that I am most interested in.  The film industry or motion picture industry comprises the technological and commercial institutions of film-making, i.e., film production companies, film studios, cinematography, animation, film production, screenwriting, pre-production, post production, film festivals, distribution and actors.  The oldest national film industry is Hollywood and is also perhaps the most well known across the world.
